I might be flying into the Wilmington/Philadelphia ILG Airport on Frontier Airlines arriving after 9PM. How would one go from there to the Wilmington (Amtrak) train station or the Philadelphia 30th Street Station? Are there taxis at the airport? If yes, how much would the taxi fare be and how long would it take to get from the airport to the train station(s)? If not, can one order a taxi and what taxi/limo company would you recommend?

I am assuming the small airport south of Wilmington. I am honestly not sure, maybe the DE forum would be better

I know there are taxi's in Wilmington and would assume either there is a service or would be available at the airport

Moved to DE forum.

ILG is New Castle airport located just South of Wilmington: Delaware River & Bay Authority If I were you I'd make arrangements for a taxi to be there and not count on one just hanging out. I found this one - Taxi Service New Castle, DE (Delaware)

I know that Delaware Express (can't post URL, so use a search engine to find it).
goes to PHL and Wilmington Train Station.

Their web-based booking system doesn't list ILG (a.k.a New Castle Airport),
but it might be worth a try to call them and ask if they serve ILG.

Chava61,

Check "Go Airport Shuttle"

They serve ILG and PHL.

In my opinion, you are better off with an airport shuttle versus a taxi.

The airport is called the Wilmington/Philadelphia Airport so with all due respect it seems to be appropriate to ask on both the Delaware as well as the Philadelphia forums. Frontier Airlines advertises the flight as going to the Philadelphia area.

++1! Used them many times and always right on time. I 'suspect' they could do a Wilm Airport to the Train station. May have to call them though. Only a short trip up the road, Rt13 into Wilmington City.

Did you notice that no one on the Philly forum knew what you were talking about? I've never heard it called the Wilmington/Philly airport.... New Castle Airport - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frontier offers flights to the Wilmington - Philadelphia area, not airport. Frontier is the first airline to try commercial service to ILG in 5 years (others have tried through the years and failed). They recently canceled scheduled flights to/from Houston stranding passengers with tickets. There remain a handful of flights each week, so as the Moderator (who is trying to help you) suggested, you should plan ahead for ground transportation rather than expect service awaiting you upon landing.
