I see that a lot of people like the Bayberry development. If I am reading correctly, there are two different sections - Bayberry North, and Bayberry Ponds? I understand the Ponds is a 55+ development, and I think includes yard maintenance. Is one side nicer than the other?

What is the status of Bayberry Village. In looking at old posts, mention of this village go back to 2012, perhaps even further. It is a bit worrisome that nothing (that I can find anyway) has been built yet. We had a similar situation in our development. The Sales Center pushed the "Town Center" that was to be built as a great community feature, with open space, shops, restaurants, a little "village". It was noted on their master plan on a huge blow up model in the sale office. But every time anybody asked for a status, the sales office would say they had no idea, it was up to the developer and they hadn't been informed.

So far it hasn't happened. And there are lots of homes here. In place, we have a Costco and a CVS, and coming soon an Auto Body Repair shop. Instead of using the land to create a nice downtown area or central "village" as promised, the land has been sold to the highest bidder.

This also happened to the development down the street from us. They were also promised a Town Center and then the developer got greedy and instead built townhouses on the land.

7 years seems like a long time to be promising a "village". Are there any updates on when/if it might be built?

My family is considering moving to Bayberry during the Summer of 2020. We visited three weeks ago and was told by the sales agent there are no stores confirmed at this time. She mentioned there are several stores being considered but didn’t know any of the logistics. She also mentioned the town center would be built during the final stage but could not give an estimated time.
