Thanks for the luck, Rachlyn. I hope all goes well for you too. Keep in touch through the boards and maybe when you get to DE, we can meet. Who knows, we might already know each other. Wouldn't that be a hoot.

Hi Movn2Del! - We meet again!

You are very welcome and thank you! I definitely will keep in touch and yes it would be a hoot and I would not be surpised at all if we already know each other! I have had enough experiences to let me know that it is a Teeney-Weeney World!!

Ah, Rachlyn & movn2del, it IS a teeney-weeney world... and DE is an even smaller state! As I have posted elsewhere, my in-laws are all in/on Long Island, and I have met SO many people since moving to DE from LI! Makes me wonder who, other than the in-laws, still live there!

Rachlyn, since you are familiar with the commuting to Manhattan, any commute in DE will seem like a joy ride. When our older 2 kids were small, we lived on LI too... traffic there just to get to the grocery store was murder, and that was almost 20 yrs ago. Now, I have to psych myself up just to go visit!

movn2del, can't wait 'til you and hubby (and kids) make it to DE... look forward to meeting you when you do. And Rachlyn, definitely stay in touch through the boards; PM me if you have more "private" questions, and good luck with your new home search!

Mary

Hi Marych! Guess what? You are from LI too. I would love to get together, that's if it doesn't kill me getting there. We are purging like crazy. Hope to have our first garage sale this weekend, if we have at least one dry day. They are calling for rain. We will see. It will be a last minute decision. Everyday is filled with lots of stuff to do. I don't see a break until October

Look forward to meeting a lot of new people when we get to DE. The more the merrier. I'm a people person.

movn2del,

Why not wait to have the garage sale until next weekend, since its Memorial Day then? Or are you hoping to take a run down this way that weekend? We're supposed to get rain off and on through the weekend this week too... so who knows!

Seems like everything related to NY is last minute... at least it always has been in my 20+ years association with it! Even hubby's "visits" to DE (and ours to NY) are that way. Gotta love spontaneity!

I love sponaneity! Weather guy here says dry for Saturday, as of last night. Not planning any trip to DE right now. Hubby will be coming when they do septic service sometime next month.

Hey movn,

Don't blame you about not taking any extra trips to DE... with kids in school, packing and purging to be done, you probably don't have a moment to spare!

Suppose the inspection went well, and things are proceeding as you hope? I'll do the old "no rain for NY" Indian dance... hope the weather holds out for your garage sale!
