My family is thinking about staying in Rehoboth for a week this summer. I live in Jersey City so I can take various forms of transit like NJT, Amtrak, Megabus, whatever from Newark or Manhattan. But it looks like there's just no easy way to get to Rehoboth on transit, right? I did transit directions on Google Maps and it looks like from Wilmington Station if I took Amtrak, it's 3:30-4:00 via a few different transit system buses. The 301 from Wilmington Station to Dover Transit Center. Then the 307 from Dover to Lewes Transit Center. Then the 201 from Lewes to Rehoboth but the stop looks to be on the side of Rte 1 and then I'd have to get to the downtown Rehoboth area from there.

Is that the only option for transit? I'm not seeing anything else. I mean I'll drive if I have to since I want to go, but I just hate driving and I figure parking there sucks in summer. I see there is the 305 bus from Wilmington to Rehoboth that runs only in summers, but it looks like it's only Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays, so if I come down on a Friday I can't take it, right?

Just checked. I'd have to take a bus to AC and transfer to another bus to Cape May and then ferry to Lewes and get to Rehoboth from there.

I guess theoretically, yes. I just prefer public transit whenever possible because that's just who I am as a person lol

You have to get to 34th Street and 9th avenue in NYC. The Best Bus Company, it used to be called DC2NY. Unless things have changed they operate Memorial Day to Labor Day on weekends only. $49 last year. Know several people that have used them. There used to be a bus called the China bus, which might be the name everyone called it by and not its' real name. Given the current situation nationwide it would not surprise me if it was not going to operate this summer.

Thanks! I'll check them out when it's closer to summer and those schedules go up.

DART buses also leave from the Lewes Ferry every 30 minutes all summer.
