That's a very hopeful milestone to fall under 100 hospitalizations. Crossing fingers!!

So hopeful people will continue to do the Big 3 - wearing masks, socially distancing and washing their hands!!

I hate to sound pessimistic, but I take those stats with a grain of salt considering COVID is starting to make a comeback in other states. Plus, we still have another month or two to assess the results from the protestors, the beachgoers, and any other large gatherings transpiring at the moment.

While I am delighted to report these numbers daily, I am concerned, as you are. In my opinion, these results would be spectacular anywhere else but especially here at the beach. The Chamber reported an 83% increase in hotel occupancy from Memorial Day weekend to last weekend. Rental rates are jumping per the report to the City of Rehoboth managers zoom meeting.

Yes, the numbers are rebounding in other states as they open up, but due to the visitors to the area, who arrive here by traveling through the state, we might be in for a rebound too. That said, I am trying to remain positive for the time being until I can't be, and hoping that we don't have to watch the numbers climb.
