When passing the former Burger King on Coastal Highway in Rehoboth, we noticed the message on the marquee/sign in the front was empty - and there are "available" signs in the front. In the past, it said "under contract". It would seem whatever was in the works is off the table.

We've been discussing restaurant moves, etc. on this thread, but I wonder what everyone would think about starting a new Restaurant News thread?

Take care everyone!

Today's numbers over/under

NCC 10,813 + 293
KENT 3121 + 152
SUSSEX 6913 +106

Hospitalizations 83 +5
Critical 16-1

This is very concerning because it is across the state now that the numbers are over 100 cases. In addition there were 6 deaths yesterday. Mask up everyone.

It would be great if everyone would wear a mask properly as well. I see noses out too often anymore. I left the county yesterday and went shopping at a grocery store and saw some people without masks or the mask pulled down to their chin with their nose and mouth exposed! I have never seen this in stores where I live. You can't even walk around in downtown Bethany without a mask and they will even kick you off the boardwalk if you're a repeat offender. I know this for a fact.

NCC 10,936 + 123
KENT 3137 +16
SUSSEX 6962 _ 49

Hospitalizations 83 n/c
Critical 21 +5

Our percent positive is now at 7.8. In order to be removed from the Q list for most states we need to be below 5%. We not only increased our critical but we also lost 3 more people yesterday.

Regardless of political leanings, the president is far more removed and limited in his close dealings with the public than Joe average is who is out and about and he got it. Please mask up.

Nuts,
Noticed in an article a few days ago in the Cape Gazette that might explain the recent dramatic growth in the number of hospitalizations and jump in the critical care numbers. The article noted that two long term care facilities in Wilmington and one in Greenwood have recently had outbreaks of Covid-19 impacting patients and staff at these facilities.
