Slow Motion, but at least I rec'd a response from the live phone call I placed on 1/18/21 to receive my second vaccine shot.

"This email is to confirm that we have received your request to be included in upcoming COVID-19 vaccination events in Delaware.
When an event slot becomes available for you, we’ll send you an invitation email with instructions on how to register for an appointment for an event date and location. There will be multiple events over the coming weeks and slots will be limited at each event, therefore you may not receive an invitation right away."

We are in the "no-motion" region. Several of our friends have received invites and received their shots, but we are still waiting.

My wife has an appt for a shot next week, a friend of hers has been trying for weeks to no avail. My wife went back on the site yesterday and lo and behold another appt was available to her on the same day her first one is scheduled. She went ahead and made the second appt for the shot so she will show up for the earlier one that day and then cancel the second appt.

BTW I read yesterday that they advise you not take any over the counter pain medication before being administered the shot, it could effect how effective the vaccine could be.

The first dose and second dose of your Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine should be exactly the same, both chemically and from a dosage standpoint.

Same here, nuts - for DH (I'm in the "Remaining 1 phase - under 65). Last night the next door neighbors found available appointments for today and were successful in getting their vaccine.

We don't know anyone who got an appointment from registering, but we suspect it's possibly based on existing conditions, then age. Who knows?

Hallelelujah I was successful! I had to go to 2/24 and it's in Middletown 23 miles away, but I'll take anything I can get at this time. But I have my email verification of my appointment for my 2nd shot!

Unfotunately we are still waiting for DH to get his account "verified" by Walgreen's. Not sure what that is about but if I had known that would happen I would have done it sooner. I have had mine for years so didn't remember I had to do that. We may have to make 2 trips, but cie le vie, it is what it is.

At least 1/2 the load is off my mind......as long as they don't cancel it due to lack of vaccine!!

Edited at 9:17pm...........Got DH in and registered as well. Unfortunately all the spaces on the same day as me were gone but we will just make another trip up the next afternoon. I was going to try and edit mine, but I'm afraid to touch them!! I don't want to cancel one and then not be able to get the other before it is gone. I figure if for some unfathomable reason we are able to get one earlier I can just cancel this one and give someone else a break.
