As an old native of Delaware, there are 2 REAL Delawarean staples. 1) Fifers Farm and 2) Grotto Pizza.
3) Capriotti's

As a transplant, I will say 2 out of three ain't bad, but for a NY'er, Grottos doesn't cut it for us. Big fans of the other two.

Yes, Selhars......Capriotti's also.
Nuts....You're on it! I haven't met a NY'er yet who likes Grotto Pizza, and many NJersey'ers. Somebody does, though, with 21 locations.
I haven't been to the boardwalk since the virus hit, but I'm assuming we can buy pizza from an outside counter. But, it's easier for us to go to the Dover location, or if we're in the area...Milford.

Grotto's is close to my heart, as I was there in 1960 when Dominick opened

I will say Grotto is a wonderful and very, very generous supporter of all things in this area. I know from Long Island that the generous business people get hit every which way but Sunday for donations. Grotto has made a lot of money here, but that does not mean that they have to support the efforts of the area to the degree that they do. They are indeed truly a gem.

Grottos borders on a religion in Delaware, and I still enjoy a slice from time to time when I’m in the state. But when in Rehoboth, I’m a fan of Nicola Pizza.

I used to not like Grotto's, but then I had a race after party there a couple years ago and it was pretty good! Especially the white pizza. Maybe they changed the recipe up since I had it last? I hadn't eaten there in years before that.

Al Casapulla's down by way has some really good pizza though!

Update is delayed today for some reason. I just spoke to someone in Public Health who indicated it was only going to be updated weekly. I asked her if she were sure it applied to this info and she seemed annoyed. I explained that it had been updated through yesterday and she put me on hold and when she came back she simply said it had not been updated today. When I asked if it was going to be she said she didn't know.

Will keep you posted.
