Today's numbers over/under

NCC 8190 +51
KENT 2624 +16
SUSSEX 6330 +13

Hospitalizations 58 +3
Critical 16 n/c

IF THE NUMBERS CAN BE BELIEVED, THIS IS NOT A GOOD TREND. As RDLR pointed out we have allowed both the State Fair and NASCAR in the state to continue. Are those events tied to the trend?

Probably. State Fair? Seriously? That makes sense for me because I'm older and have some health problems, but even my thirty something son hasn't done anything that stupid. Well, he's also afraid that he's going to kill me.

G, whatever the motivation we can only follow the rules the officials put in place for us. As RDLR said, they cancelled the Peach Festival but allowed the State Fair, albeit with limited numbers. Ditto for Nascar. I am sure there are many disappointed fans of both, but these are difficult times.

I had SO hoped they'd keep the bars closed through Labor Day, but I'm guessing the Governor was getting a lot of pushback. How they think Labor Day is going to be any different than it was earlier this summer is beyond me, but I guess they can't keep them closed forever (though it would be OK with me LOL).

If you live in Sussex County the smart thing to do is to stay home over the three day weekend. Wait until everyone else goes home before you venture out.

I live in Kent Co. and I'm going to stay home this weekend. We were out yesterday and I saw just how much people were "being safe". Never saw so many people with their masks either below their noses or with them hanging off their ears.
