By the Way, Pier One is going out of business everywhere, not just the beach. They closed in Dover 2-3 months ago.
Yes, Pier One in NY was a pretty big deal. I always thought they were a bit on the high side. The big one going now in NY, is Lord and Taylor. When I was a child, I can remember they had beautiful hard boxes with a single red rose on every box. Those were the days. I still have a few hard boxes with Christmas stuff in them from my parents. There are a few from Bloomingdales and one from A & S (Abraham and Strauss) who went out in 1995.

.........Like Wanamakers in Wilmington, DE. Top notch! We always went for their Christmas extravaganzas.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day!!

I saw a story on the local news this morning and found an article that gave a little more detail that I thought those in the Beebe Hospital area might like to see, as it indicates in a 24 hour period, the hospital had 0 Covid patients. While it was just for that particular 24 hours, it's still awesome news!

Beebe CEO: Zero Covid Positive Patients Admitted in Past 24 Hour - WBOC-TV 16, Delmarvas News Leader, FOX 21 -

In not so great news, we ventured down to OC, MD to go to a boardwalk store that carries clip on's for prescription glasses that my husband has difficulty finding elsewhere. We couldn't get off the boardwalk and out of OC fast enough. I'd say 80% of the people walking on the boardwalk, where masks are required, wore no mask. I agree with the person who was quoted in a newspaper article I read that Ocean City IS like the Wild Wild West. Police on bicycles rode by several times and did nothing. The pandemic will have to end before we return.

Ok so here is the explanation for no numbers yesterday

*The updated cumulative number of positive COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 10, includes cases reported on both Tuesday, Sept. 8 and Wednesday, Sept. 9.

Today's numbers over/under The increase is for a two day period

NCC 8805 + 111
KENT 2744 +17
SUSSEX 6456 + 24

Hospitalizations 66 +13

The late report today is on my end as I played waiting room wife and at home nurse as DH had his surgery today. All went well, so now I sleep tonight.

Lyndy & RDLR, thanks. It is 2:35 and he is sleeping soundly. I am wide awake watching him sleep, thinking he may need help. I am glad it is suppose to rain tomorrow as I will sleep while he is awake.
