This is absolutely insane, a regular traffic stop and suddenly the police are there with drug sniffing dogs asking the players to come clean if they have drugs, then they search their luggage.

Every one of those policemen should be fired, this is why we need reform.

At first, Pamella Jenkins, the head women’s lacrosse coach at Delaware State University, wasn’t worried when Georgia sheriff’s deputies pulled over her team’s bus.

Her team, around 70 percent Black and representing a historically Black college with roots that stretch to the 1890s, had been enjoying the trip home after playing in a tournament in Florida. They were doing nothing wrong. The team’s chartered bus was not speeding as it eased north on Interstate 95. It made sense when she heard a deputy tell the driver that he had the bus in the left lane and needed to be in the right.

Suddenly Jenkins’s team was being accused of having drugs on board. More deputies arrived. A drug-sniffing dog circled. Jenkins, who is Black, shared her athletes’ feelings: shock, fear, anger and frustration.

I hit a "pay wall" for the NY Times, so did some googling and found the same article, I think, here:

https://usanews.ltd/the-pain-may-nev...been-there-too

"Video footage, which contradicted the sheriff’s account of the cease, reveals a bunch of white deputies rifling by means of baggage. One in every of them took a package deal and requested whose it was. When the participant responded that it was hers and didn’t know what was inside as a result of it was a present from household, the deputy met her with suspicion. Jenkins stated the deputy discovered nothing greater than a jewellery field inside."

They found no medications or drugs. It is a very good article, and a sad one. These people that do this, the police, are a disgrace to the human race!

This was featured on NBC Evening News yesterday. White policemen, with southern accents, doing police work in the presence of black people from an HBCU, how dare they!

Just another way to falsely play the race card. Pathetic

Unfortunately, the cops in the video probably wont suffer any consequences. Scumbags.

Stupid cops...

... and stupid leftists trying to turn this into a "Bad Whitey is Racist" kind of BS event. Fire the cops. Do whatever disciplinary action is warranted. But let's knock the attack on whites off because some idiotic cops did something very stupid. That is THEM. Not me. And not 99.999% of white people. You paint with a large brush and all you are going to get from me and most everyone else with a brain is the middle finger. Punish the cops. Not the rest of us.

Really, eh? Didn't those cops realize they were white?

Yes great use of police resources, searching a women's college lacrosse team bus after the driver was speeding. Even if they found an ounce of marijuana was it worth it to have several cops spending hours on this, no other crimes in Georgia that are more important.

This looks more like 1920 than 2020.

What does that paragraph even mean? It sounds like it was translated by computer from another language.

They weren't speeding! Apparently the bus driver not signaling properly was the pretext for the stop. And the police, being out looking for drug (and people) smugglers, happened to have a drug sniffing dog with them who thought he smelled something...

But all of this is trivial compared to the outrage of white policemen stopping and questioning black people on a highway. And they spoke with Southern accents in a colloquial manner! The pain may never fade.
