fromthebay, Back to your original question. I spent several days in the SF Bay area a couple of months ago.

The obvious differences are vast!!! Is there something specific you are wondering about?

fromthebay, I'm with rockky (as I posted earlier) in this regard. These areas, SF Bay area and DAFB area are about as different as can be. So specific questions? If you're still interested.....

Rockky, I was mesmerized by the original series. I'll check your link sometime soon, though probably in the middle of the night, as my days are even busier than usual this week! I have a "book problem" too!

I live in the SF Bay area and visit DE frequently. DE has WEATHER! I love watching the lightening storms. The first week of June, we saw quite a few in Bethany Beach. I've seen it snow lightly on the beach several times. I drive past Dover on my way to the beach. It's fun watching the C-5s doing touch-and-gos. I saw one in 3 pieces next to Dover AFB a couple of years ago (all survived). Almost as spectacular as the pc-3 that landed on the golf course near Moffett field a couple of decades ago.

North of Dover, in S. Smyrna is a Waffle House. We don't have these in CA. When I take a red-eye into Philly I always stop there for breakfast.

High temps in DE feel warmer than in CA.

When they start doing SF Bay Area traffic reports for Stockton, Pleasanton, and other areas where there is no hint of bay - I wonder where the SF Bay Area ends - The Sierras?
