Thanks, Mary. I hope I didn't violate the rules. I just saw it as a great way to tell people about a cool Dover musical event. I don't know how to PM you. Can you tell me since I am a newbie?

Sounds like great community support for her family, and I for one will be on the lookout for further information. If the moderators think this is too much like advertising, please PM me closer to the event date. And if I remember it (way too busy right now), I'll put a plug in with performers I'm trippin' across in my goings and comings!

Thanks for the post!

Mary
Making a post about a charity musical event in this thread is fine, but it can't have its own thread, as that would be considered advertising.

It will be from 1p.m. - 7 p.m. Watch the Delaware State News and listen to the local radio stations for more info, or write to me here for more information as things shape up. Sybil died after a very short battle with leukemia and the fundraiser will be to benefit her three children, 25, 19, and 14. Great cause and great place for a big party! Jim Rezac of Fuzzbox is a good friend of mine and I know he is "in" even if the rest of the band can't play the event. He will jam. Kenny Pennington is "in", too. "The Draw" is kicking things off. Anyone interested in the event, please write! Any bands out there interested? Good PR promised!
Please also PM me. The event is in my neighborhood, I love great music and surely would love to support a fundraiser for this family. May have another band interested as well.

Default Re: Voyager

I agree with you! Voyager is a terrific cover band! I've seen them lately at JW's and JP's and they really get people up and dancing!!

Hi to From PA and all who are interested in the Songs for Sybil fundraiser! Thanks for your interest. Posters are up around town. Performers are listed on the poster, and now, Tom Larsen Band is included! So, thanks for your interest. I have a fistful of tickets so anyone who wants to go, get in touch! Check the local papers for a story on the children within the next month. Radio and newspaper ads should be starting, too. God bless all who decide to help out this local family! Thank you.

Memphsgal: I just love Voyager and have seen them recently also at JW's and JP's! Wow. They have been a great band for a long time. No problem dancing when they play, for sure!

Mitch..........Voyager disbanded before Christmas, and we were at their final performance. They've been together for many, many years and we've followed them. Mark is now with BarCode playing locally, and he is very talented, as well as others he plays music with. As far as I know, KP hasn't put another group together, but if not, it won't be long.
