I know that it isn't health food, but if you bring your pet through the drive thru at Chick-fil-A in Elkton on Monday, September 28, you get free chicken nuggets. A portion of the sales will be donated to VCA Elkton Animal Hospital's Good Samaritans Fund.

Although that sounds awesome to me, isn't this technically saving one certain animal but eating another? :/

Joe, you are absolutely correct. However, most people eat chickens anyway. This fund helps the families who are financially strapped and cannot afford treatment for their family pets. It certainly is a judgement call.

Not in Delaware, but I went through the drive through at McDonald's here in Kentucky once and had my dog with me. The lady started to hand me my bag but took it back for a minute. Handed it to me and told me there was something for my dog. I looked as I drove off and she had put a hamburger patty in a wrapper. It didn't last long! lol

I have a pet chicken. I suppose it would be cruel to bring it with me just to get free chicken nuggets.

I say kudos to Chick-fil-a for that noble jesture. At least the chicken nuggets are real whole meat chicken.

given the intelligence level of most chickens, I would not consider it cruel, "Ironic" may be a more apt word.
