Here is something I found when I googled about the antibacterial properties of CO:

I'm not against using CO for a toothpaste, I just want to skip the hype and get the facts. Like Joe Friday. "Just the facts, ma'am."
There are many info sites on the anti bacterial properties of CO, and you've chosen to "believe" this one. We all pick and choose.

Facts...there are millions of facts so pick yours. My facts right now are no dental problems and dental visits.

I was thinking of doing oil pulling recently but after reading this thread I was wondering if I'm better off just using this coconut oil toothpaste concoction instead. What do yous think?

I am kinda concerned about it possibly clogging my drains though.

Just dropping in as it's been about a year or more since last post. I continue to do well with all I do and of course, the Grape Seed Extract and Vit C daily for the healthy tight gums I live with.

I don't do the oil pulling but make my own Toothpaste and have been using 1/2 Coconut Oil and 1/2 Now Foods CO toothpaste to that I add some drops of clove oil or another oil I like.

Every month or so I pour baking soda and then some white vinegar down my drain to keep things moving.

Oh and I avoid fluoride as best I can and for sure NEVER have purchased TP with fluoride. There are miles of pros/cons on this additive millions in this country are taking in their bodies.

There is supposed to be a lawsuit filed against the EPA toward late summer and we'll see how that goes, won't we.

I think a toothpaste containing fluoride is better.
