Hey friends,

One difficult and under aspect of being a carer for people with dementia is dental/oral care-this can be difficult as particularly in the advanced stages the sufferer will not cooperate with you cleaning their teeth .

Any tips or advice please?

Thanks
Brian Jow

I took a CE course back in the Spring regarding helping patients in Hospice care. The CE course was held by a dental hygienist who herself was battling cancer and she would volunteer her time in hospitals and other areas training nurses and staff about good dental hygiene. I don't have any information on it right now, but give me a good week and I'll get back to you with some information about the products she was presenting.

I told you earlier that I would find that website and I did. www.medactive.com This company is located in Spring Hill, FL and when I took my CE course the lecturer had a bunch of stuff from this company, including fluoride rinses, floss with pumice, all kinds of goodies for someone who's in hospice-type settings. The business card I'm looking at right now says MedActive Oral Relief. Phone# 352-293-2164 or 1-866-887-4867. Look it up and see what appeals to you. Hope this helps.
