I was brushing for about a week with Baking Soda, and I was brushing over the top of my crown. Now my tooth is extremely sensitive. I have been using sensodine for the past 2 weeks, and it's not improving.

I have the same problem and have noticed that it makes my gums recede, so I don't think it's a good choice for TP. I have noticed that time has made it better though and it takes longer than 2 weeks. I have a whole stash of BS toothpaste that I got for free and will have to find a new home for it.

From my understanding, the whole baking soda thing should never be used on a daily basis.

I think it's supposed to be used occasionally to scrub off stains, but if you use it too frequently, you are really wearing down your teeth/gums.
