Last October, one of the front teeth of my partial came off, I could not afford the visit to get it fixed.

So for the last 6 months I have been wearing the bad temp one they made me to wear until my final was done, I hung onto it for emergencies like this. It was mostly the acrylic and some wires to hold it in, and it doesn't look as natural as the final.

I discovered D.O.C. Repair-It at Walgreens. Last night I fixed the tooth, it's like brand new again I was amazed how good it worked and I actually could do it.

Unfortunately in the far back it will not go in, the teeth on the sides of the gap seem to have made the space smaller. I thought if I slept with it in all night with my mouth closed it would eventually fit, but it wont and I tried biting down to get it in the space but its just too painful even over night.

Am I out of luck with the partial? is the teeth changing the space not fixable by my self?

Did I screw my self but not fixing it when it happened (I did not know you could do such a DIY on things like a partial)

I am so sad and mad. I have no money for a new partial to be made and I think even if I wore it for days it wouldn't fit in the space.

I can;t get pics inside my mouth, so heres pictures of the temp and final partials.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated!!!

Your natural teeth have shifted, because they had nothing preventing them from shifting (such as, other teeth, or your partial) for half a year. If it had been only a few weeks, even a couple of months, there probably wouldn't have been any difference. A call to your dentist's office, at the time, might have gotten you a suggestion for temporary DIY repair until you could get it professionally repaired. And it's possible that it couldn't even be professionally repaired. But, hindsight is 20-20, and all you can do about it now is go back to the dentist, explain the situation, and have him give you his professional recommendation.

He'll either be able to adjust your existing one (sometimes a drill can sand it down just enough to fit perfectly - sometimes not), or he'll have to make you a new one to fit your new, shifted mouth.
