ya I was never taught how to floss. my mom uses baking soda but not floss. I thought due to genetics I was destined to have bad teeth but my mom has paid a lot of money for dental work cause she never brusehd her teeth until she was 12 . her parents were strange I guess. Either way, I've never had anything more than a small cavity because I at least always brushed and I don't drink soda (haven't since I was 9 years old). I'll check out that video. I have to pay attention to this advice because I only have a few adult teeth. Its genetics but my back molars are baby teeth and I don't have adult teeth to replace them so I have to make sure my little teeth hold up for another 60 + years. Luckily it means no wisdom teeth! I have to wait till pay day to buy floss and mouth wash..I have NO money , but I'll get baking soda from my mom's house to hold me over a few days, and I got a soft toothbrush.
O.K. .... next time you have a few dollars in your pocket buy yourself a good tooth brush, some toothpaste and some dental floss.
By the way, since you have no money right now, you might want to go to some kind of clinic in your area and see if they will provide you with some oral hygiene supplies at no cost.
If you're in an urban area there must be something like that around.
Or if you're near a major university that just happens to have a dental school, that's another option.

I had 3 baby teeth due to no permanent teeth under them. I lost one (got a permanent bridge) but at 70 y/o, the other 2 are still there. Yours can be, too.
That's what I'm working towards! so far one has been slowly deteriorating. It broke a couple years ago and they told me I would need an implant but I don't have money and the other part of the tooth is still hanging on so I'm just taking care of it as much as I can until I can afford an implant.
I came on here to ask the OP if he/she recently began to use baking soda toothpaste but it looks like the answer is no. Still, I'd just like to say that I can't use b. soda toothpaste or by itself or I will get the tender gums and sensitive teeth within a couple of weeks of starting to use it even though I have no gum problems. My mother used it for years with no problems and she had suffered from gingivitis (and ulcers) for years.
I suggest that you visit your dentist right away. While bleeding gums is a common condition, it might be linked to another illness. It is best to have it examined by a dental specialist.
I brushed my teeth with 1 tsp baking soda and 2 oz of peroxide. Some of my gums turned white and hurt too. Five minutes later, my mouth feels amazing clean and my teeth are sparkling white. The pain only lasted five minutes, which was well worth it.
