Kind of a confusing situation, my lower jaw is behind my upper jaw (referred to as mandibular retrognathia), but both my orthodontist and dentist have told me I have a class 3 bite, a.k.a. an underbite, where the mandible is too long for the maxillary.

It seems strange that my mandible is too long, yet doesn't protrude as far out as my maxillary.
