I have a similar situation.. I went to a dentist in jan 2018 and had my teeth cleaned the dentist said he saw a cavity, the tooth never even bothered me UNTIl he filled the cavity - the tooth still bothers me now (but never bothered me before.) I changed dentist and they dont see anything that could be wrong, yet this tooth is hurting very badly. Ive seen 3 dentist in my area. Nothing... suggestions?

I had an older man for years who kept telling me everything was Aok. Turns out it wasn't. Todays modern dentist has better ways to see infection, cavities, and problems. I needed alot of work cause infection was eating up my tooth. I found the right dentist and now am fine.

Get a second opinion. Don't let it go.

Preparing the tooth for the filling (physically removing the decay) could have irritated/inflamed the nerve.

I had surgery on my arm. They removed a cyst. It didn't hurt until after surgery.
