I am aware that baking soda is abrasive and I use it only maximum once a week. I have not used it yet because I do not know ho much baking soda for one time brush. Is it a pinch or less? And do u put it in the top of your toothpaste and use toothbrush to brush our teeth or just put it on our teeth directly?

My dentist told me no baking soda as it dissolves teeth. Still I do use it sometimes like few times in a month and just a little on a wet soft toothbrush. So far my teeth have not dissolved and it whitens and cleans teeth very good. Still do not overdo it !

Baking soda isn't really an effective tooth-whitener. But baking soda with peroxide can loosen coffee stains pretty well. What you'd do is rinse your toothbrush with water, then dip the brush head in a little peroxide - a capful, generic supermarket or pharmacy brand. Then, with the wetted brush, dip it in a dime-sized (1/8 teaspoon, maybe) amount of baking soda in the palm of your hand. It'll form a paste, and you use that to brush your teeth.
You can do that once a week, or every few days. I wouldn't do it much more often because it's abrasive. Baking soda and peroxide are the traditional "toothpaste" from before commercial toothpastes. "Big pharma" has improved on the original

No, baking soda doesn't dissolve teeth, when used in conjunction with normal, mundane, responsible dental hygeine. That means - you don't use a lot of it, you don't use an electric sander to apply it, and you rinse it out when you're done.

I wouldn't use baking soda because I heard it takes enamel off your teeth. Once you lose your enamel it won't comel back. Anyway this white teeth craze is just that. I have a friend who has been on a health diet alll his life because his father owned a health food store. He doesn't have one cavity(age65) and alll his enamel. His teeth are even yellowish but that is a good sign that he has all his enamel.
