Which toothbrush is the best? Theres multiple to choose from.
We have always used oral B and that is what our dentist recommends. Regardless of which one, we have had good luck and our dentist is pleased with how well we seem to be caring for our teeth.
Better brush well and hope for the best because when you go to the dentist, they will extract a lot more than a tooth. It's what they extract out of your credit card that hurts the most.
My hygienist suggested Oral-B Vitality. I recently purchased it and have liked it a lot. It's just under $30. You can go crazy by spending mucho bucks but quite frankly I didn't see the need to so I'm glad my hygienist recommended this one.
Actually I like the ones that are sold at Dollar General for $7.50. Comes with attachments, three brushes and the batteries. I have three of them that I use throughout the day. They are the Rexall brand. At such a low cost changing out the brushes frequently is no big deal. I usually keep several in my bathroom if any wear out and surprisingly they seem to last a long time but the brush heads eventually wear out the plastic gears and get noisy which signals replacement.
I used to use the "Oral B" brand but I really can't tell any difference warranting the additional expenditure.
I would also strongly recommend the use of "Plackers" or the equivalent dental floss. A former dentist put me onto them a few years back. They are great for getting down into hard to reach places. Just bite down and that will get the job done. I never did like regular dental floss because it was such a pain.
I like my Oral B. I've used Oral B non-electric, a variety of other non-electric, the Oral B electric, and when I was growing up, we had a WaterPik - which was not a brush at all. If we had the space to put a shelf to hold a WaterPik, I'd get one of those again. They got even the most stubborn popcorn kernels out from between the teeth and the gums like nobody's business, but it didn't get the "gritty" feeling out of my mouth like brushing my teeth and using toothpaste did.
I can't say what's the "best" because in order to do that, I'd have had to try them all. And I haven't. But I am pretty happy with the Oral B electric - it's the cheaper of the bunch, I think it was $19.99 at BJ's. Replacement heads are expensive, but we get them - again - at BJs and that certainly cuts costs.
