I am new to the city environment and use to having an established Dentist, that I call for an appointment. Around here, I see al lthese “in and out” type- generic places like “City Smith” and “Happy Teeth” that you can go to. Late night and Saturday appointments, which remind me of places that I would stop at to get my haircut. Are these places good? Reliable? I guess, I am just new to thisand haven’t seen any of these places around before. Experiences?

Thank you!

Best thing to do is to ask for recommendations from friends, or coworkers.

I don't know much about them, but I've done Google searches trying to find out what the deal is with all the dentist offices. The other day at a nearby gas station I looked around and there were four dentist offices within eyeshot. They are literally across the street from each other in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the helpful response. I am glad I am not the only one!

I have seen this also....dentists on every corner....sometimes office complexes with 4-5 separate dental offices within. Yet some people truly think there is an access to care issue in dentistry. Most can get a new patient in the office same day or at least within the week.
