Does anyone have this or dealt w/it? I was told I had this (but nobody mentioned it until I was well into adulthood) - the dentist I saw at the time referred me to someone who immediately (of course) told me of the horrors of not having it fixed. I switched dentists and that dentist told me I didn't have a speech issue (which I know), and he didn't see any problem w/the lower front teeth having a problem in my lifetime. I've since had to go back to the first practice as the other one no longer accepts my insurance) - she's a diff. dentist and hasn't seen the records from before (I was told they are "probably in the basement") - but she brought up the same issue and thinks I should see a Periodontist to have the frenum cut before it causes receding of my teeth. That just sounds so scary and I'm a wimp.
Any opinions/thoughts? Would love to hear from anyone that has had this done (or not....)
Thank you - I'm thinking the same thing (although this dentist is in the same practice, she apparently didn't know the other there said the same thing, another dentist said no worries - I'm choosing that route, LOL)
