I had two of my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. I'm 38 years old, and I was told that recovery will be more difficult. Anyway, I do not have a dry socket, but am experiencing intense pain on the bottom right side. I have stitches. I'm taking the pain pills as directed, and can eat, but they are starting to upset my stomach. The swelling has decreased significantly, when will the pain stop, so my stomach can start to recover?

Any thoughts,

More information is needed:
Were the teeth impacted (partial, fully, or soft tissue only)?
Were the teeth distoangular impactions or mesioangular impactions?
Was any bone removal required and how much and how deep?
Was there any pre-operative pericoronitis?
Were the teeth ankylosed?
How many minutes did the extractions take?
Did you have type 1, 2, 3, or 4 bone?

As you can see, only your surgeon can answer this question because he/she is the only one who has the relevant information. Otherwise you are getting a bunch of strangers on the internet taking guesses.

people heal differently.
there's no way anyone on this forum, or even your surgeon, can tell when the pain will stop.
