Hi all,

So as by the title, I had this canker sore for 2 months. It was a canker sore that I often. It stopped being painful after 1 week and began to go through its cycle. I went to the dentist during week 2 of having it for a routine oral cancer screen as I always go for since I was a tabaccovuser for 5 years before I quit 4 months ago. Everything was fine and he sent me on my way. I didn’t worry about it until I felt I little depressed spot where the canker was (back upper molar, where the gums meet the cheek by the old wisdom tooth spot). It doesn’t hurt or have any redness. I’m curious if this is something I should be worried about? I did go to the dentist during the time and he was not concerned as it was healing. It just hasn’t completely healled and I think it was because it was a deep ulcer in a weird spot. Let me know what you think. I don’t want to be the boy who cried wolf. You wouldn’t notice it unless I point it out. Only feel it with my tongue

Canker sores take time. I had about 4 of them break out at the bottom of my gum line. They were horrible. Non stop pain for over a month.

My home remedies for canker sores include rinsing with salt water (painful)

I also take 1000mg of tumeric daily. You can also rub some on the canker sores themselves.

Hope it works.

What makes you think this sore is a "canker" sore? There are multiple types of ulcers that can occur in the mouth. They can be viral, medication-related, traumatic, cancerous, etc.

I used to get canker sores all the time when I was a kid, my mother would put baking soda on them and they always went away within a few days

They go away on their own anyway. Which is why I question if this is a canker sore. If an ulcer does not go away within 2-3 weeks, it needs to be seen by an oral surgeon because this is the most common way oral cancer shows up.
