If you've been seeing a general dentist regularly and if you have a good referral to a specialist, then I think I'd at least try starting there.
Thank you, I think I have decided that I will get evaluated by a general dentist to see if my upper teeth can be salvaged with another bridge. I have been researching for a new dentist, been awhile since I saw my last dentist since I was not happy with him and he isn't practicing now anyway. If not, my next step will be a good oral surgeon or prosthodontist.

That's what I would do! I check Yelp! when I'm looking for a dentist. I don't pay much attention to the good reviews, I just read the bad ones and if there are a large number of negative reviews I cross that dentist off my list

Like the same way you did?

Do you live near a university that has a dental school?

I had my work done at U of F dental school in Hialeah. I think there’s another school near St Pete, and of course Gainesville. You don’t just get a “ second opinion”
there, you get a parade of dentists looking inside your mouth. It might take a bit longer than a regular specialist but to me it was worth it.

Even if you just go for a cleaning and xrays and ask for advice it’s worth a trip.
