If you get a temporary crown (while waiting for permanent crown to be made) and it pops off for no reason, does your dentist charge you for putting it back on again?

My dentist does not. In fact, mine came off end of last week and I go in tomorrow for the permanent crown.

They did say you dont want to go long without it since the gums can need work if they "grow" or move over the tooth missing its top.

They shouldn't but the last time I had a temp crown fall off it was Friday night and the tooth was sensitive so I went to the drug store and bought temporary dental cement, it worked great.

If the dentist did not start the crown, then they might charge you.

This dentist put the temporary crown on, which fell off - twice. It fell off for no reason.

Temporary crowns fall off a lot, and it's not a problem for them to stick them back on.

There is always a reason - it's up to you and your dentist to figure out what that reason is.
