Don't need advice here today, just wanted to share my happiness at finding a great dentist. I wasn't sure what to do, moved to a new town and really needed serious dental work months ago. Anyway, I picked one that had stellar reviews, and they were spot on. I loved everything about the office - the building, all of the assistants, etc. and most of all the dentist himself. Not only is he nice, happy and reassuring, but he is extremely competent. No insurance, but I don't care. The type work I need is not covered anyway.

So just thought I would share - great dentists ARE out there!!!

Similar experience here. I primarily used recommendations I received through Nextdoor, and also looked at Google reviews. I've been fortunate to have "good" teeth, but as I'm well into middle age now , my gums need a bit more attention. My first appointment took a full 2 hours. There were x-rays and the most thorough cleaning imaginable. Thankfully, my second appointment (6 months later) wasn't nearly as lengthy, but I still got a great cleaning. Knowing how much less my previous dental providers did, I felt a bit foolish but thankful to have finally found such a good one.
