Lower incisors have cavities - no pain, but they are unsightly, food gets caught in them, etc. and the spots are an ugly dark brown.

I ask the dentist if he could fill and he said no - and that there was nothing he could do. (We can send a man to the moon, but -- ??).

I'm begining to wonder if it was just beyond his expertise, or what?

why don't you just call another dentist? I can't believe your dentist told you it was perfectly ok to walk around with holes in your teeth.

I suggest you to go to a another dentist. If it is a cavity then dentist fix it with a white filling after that it won,t be noticeable. If your tooth is chipped then then they file it down.

Definitely see a different dentist. Something sounds very wrong with what this dentist told you.
