LOL, i just read this today about how researchers have compered the salivary bacteria in overweight people vs normal weight people in a clinical study and have discovered that certain types of bacterial associated with inflammation are highly elevated especially the species Selenomanas Noxia in people that are overweight. I wonder if cavities and gingivitis could be a factor somehow?

I didn't read the article but I would find explanations such as the one abstractly described above more plausible than
"overweight people just need to learn to control themselves like thin people do" or
"overweight people just need to learn how to make better eating decisions like thin people do" or
"overweight people just need to exercise more like thin people do"
