Does anyone have any experience with Aspen Dental? I have recently relocated and I am looking for a new dentist. Are they any good? Are their prices competitive? I have seen some reviews at other sites, and I was just wondering what the folks here at CD thought. Thank you!
Aspen Dental is a chain of dental clinics. IME, the dentists are often from foreign countries... which may or may not be a good or bad thing. For routine cleanings and exams, I would probably go to them, as they tend to have lower prices and accept most insurance, as well as Medicaid. For fillings and other invasive work, though, I personally wouldn't. I think you're taking a chance, because as far as I know, you see who is available. Even if you get a dentist that you like, there are no guarantees that he will still be at that clinic in 6 months... the turnover rate seems high to me, just based on receiving referrals from their offices. Many times, the names of the doctors changed often enough that they were not familiar to me. (I worked in an endodontic office, so we received referrals from all over... including several Aspen Dentals.)
Thanks very much for your suggestions!. I think I will take your advice and try to establish myself in a local dentist practice. It will probably be more expensive for me, but wiser in the long run!!
