Ask anyone at Berkeley or Caltech their opinion of Colorado School of Mines and they'll tell you its a world class engineering school.

By the way, years ago I did a summer internship in the Math Department at Berkeley. It was good, but CSM was every bit as good.

Regardless of ranking education is what you are able to make of it. I know people who have gone on to success after graduating from schools like Westwood College and University of Phoenix. However, if the OP intends to go to grad school at a major public institution, he/she may find better options, in-state tuition, and more possibilities in California. In addition, Colorado public universities are in a state of crisis right now with public funding on the verge of disappearing.

You're giving us a lecture about public funding in Colorado while in the same breath recommending California???? Isn't California where they're talking about forcing minimum wage on all state employees?
