I am interested in moving into the area to attend grad. school at Naropa University and was wondering if Boulder would be the best place to live or Denver? I will be 40 by the time I move, single and African American woman leaving Washington, DC. A balance age group to socialize with is very important. As for my companion, I have a cane corso...italian mastif, so it's important I'm in a area he can stretch out and have fun as well.

Give me some ideas of which area would be conducive for me and my dog. I'm interested in markets, outdoors events, organic foods, arts (dance) district, plays but where cost of living is inexpensive..... LOL

Boulder has all the things you are looking for except the inexpensive part. Denver to Boulder can be a pretty bad commute but you're from Washington DC so maybe it wouldn't be that bad for you.

I live in westminster which is smack dab inbetween Boulder and Denver and I love it. But Westminster might be a little too suburban for you.

You could probably find something in Boulder. That would be your best option, IMO.

Thanks for your response. You are right the traffic in DC is horrific. I truly don't want to leave traffic to get into to more. So, I will truly consider Boulder.
