I moved into the second floor of a 3-story cookie cutter condo/apt buildings in May. Since then my Xcel bill has been exactly the same every month. Even more amazing is my A/C went on 3 times all summer when I set the thermostat to 78 and then my heater has not gone on once. Are these buildings normally insulated this well or might my downstairs or upstairs neighbors just be running their heater incessantly? I just don't get it, I'm used to a lot more gas and electric usage and am wondering if it will remain like this as it gets colder.

For what its worth I am south facing, but get minimal sunlight as the building next to me blocks out most direct light.

I live in a 2 bedroom/2 bath in a two-story apartment building (on the ground level, north-facing), and my gas/electric bill has never been over $95. Been there a year and a half. Not much of a difference between summer and winter for us, bill-wise (we have no A/C).
