Easily Summer. If we actually had a fall every year (as we did this last year) then I'd say fall. Problem is, fall doesn't actually show up every year. Spring is my least favorite, because it's such a tease. Between President's Day and Memorial Day it seriously seems like Spring gets about 5-6 starts and then briefly reverts back to winter.

Fall is my favorite. I love the colors and the weather, mostly. Spring is my least favorite. Too much snow falls in the spring when I'm ready for warm weather.

I have to agree with DenverAztec on this one. As a former Arizonan, I find the summers here in Denver to be simply amazing. That being said, I kinda like the winters too. Snowing one day and 50 degrees and sunny the next day is about the best kind of winter I could hope for! Fresh powder and warm sunshine is awesome!

There are chile stands (and they sell all kinds of other produce too like locally grown corn, cantaloupe, etc) all over the place in the fall. I think Denver has had these for a long time, but it seems like they're really proliferating in recent years. People are starting to acquire a taste for New Mexico style green chile more and more each year. It's not just Federal Blvd (the traditional "Mexican" part of town) now-- it's even in the suburbs at garden centers like Tagawa, Nicks, etc. They sell Hatch NM chiles as well as Colorado grown chiles grown in Pueblo and around Brighton, Longmont, etc.

No texan4me, they aren't all that big and I can't say they are in the houses. If they were i would have to move to Antarctica where my son works...nothing alive there!! Well, humans...but no bugs, trees, etc. HA!

I'll go with the first half of summer.

Everything is still green as can be from the spring snow/rain. The nighttime temperatures are fantastic (really all summer they are). The daytime temperatures aren't too bad yet. Popcorn thunderstorms just about every day that are fun to watch. The mountains are still snow-capped but with no snow down in the green city.

And the most humid time of the year around here.
