Alright, so I'm trying to decide between Miami and Denver to live in. I'll give you some background info. I love warm weather and the beach, but I also like snow and the mountain views. I love the outdoors and like going to parks. Lots of crime= not for me. AlsO, I love sports, especially baseball games.

Positives for Denver:
1. Mountain Views, Lots of parks and greenbelts, Snow (not too bad though), and an outdoor-oriented lifestyle.
2. Better baseball team than Miami, and better baseball watching weather. Triple A Minor league team is within driving distance as well.
3. Much lower crime rate.

Negatives for Denver
1. It can get very cold for a time during the Winter (expect at least 1 week of sub 10 degree high temps each winter with sporadic cold days)
2. Pretty boring ethnically

Positives for Miami
1. Beaches and warmth all year round, and much better nightlife.
2. More diverse population and great food.
3. Might be slightly cheaper to live.

Negatives for Miami
1. Oppressive summer humidity and bugs.
2. Dirtier with more crime (drugs).
3. Marlins are horrible.

Denver's fans are much better, but Denver is a football town first and foremost. Basketball and baseball lag behind but when the teams are good, as they are now, they generate considerable buzz.

Broncos have sold out each game for over 40 years at 75,000 per game.

Rockies have MLB record for total attendance in one year (in an old stadium) and average about 25,000 - 30,000 on weeknights and 40,000 - 45,000 on weekends. They will sell out a few games each year (50,000)

The Nuggets and Avalanche average attendance is in the low teens.

The Rapids (soccer) are this year's MLS Cup champs.

The facilities for each of these teams are very good, and there is a very active nightlife around Coors Field.

Like any city, attendance is better when the teams are good, but Denver has a higher attendance baseline than most cities. Besides, nothing beats a night game at Coors Field with temps usually in the mid 70s, no humidity, no bugs, and a cold beer.
