Moving to Denver in late April - who's the best high-speed Internet provider? I don't watch TV (strictly netflix or hulu) so I'm not sure getting Comcast is the best choice. Anybody have any suggestions?

I have Comcast Internet and it's been fine. We started with Comcast cable for TV and dumped them for DirecTV lst year, so you don't have to get the TV package.

Only two choices: Qwest DSL or Comcast Internet Cable.
Some people have satellite but I would not put that into a "high speed" category.

I would stick with Qwest, Comcast has some of the worst policies about filtering and throttling bandwidth. Also just based on a few people that I know here who have it, seems to be down more often

I should mention that I work from home and rely heavily on my Internet connection. Qwest is so far my frontrunner Has anyone had any major problems with it?

I've never had an outage with Comcast, but the Monthly price increases (seriously, my bill has gone up $2~3/month every month for the past 5 months) and throttling are insane. If I weren't leaving in a couple months, I would switch. It's the WORST ISP I can remember having (been online since 1992) when you look at what you get for the money.

Were we are we can't get the higher speeds Qwest advertises. So we have Comcast, strictly for the internet. We don't pay for cable or satellite either. All our tv is watched either over the air or streaming through Netflix and hulu. Never had had an issue in the past two years we've had them.

I also work from home so I rely heavily on the internet.

I have Comcast cable internet and haven't had a problem with the service itself. I had a terrible time, however, when I transferred my service from my former apartment to my new house. It really is NOT as simple as changing the address on the bill and was very much an ordeal until everything (billing-related) was sorted out.

I personally feel like DSL is slow, so that is why I haven't tried Qwest.

I work at Comcast. Do not get Comcast TV, its not worth it. However, I would recommend the internet, it is actually very reliable and fast. Qwest may be about 5 dollars cheaper, but I think comcast internet is way better.

I had Qwest when I first moved to Denver, and it was very spotty. some parts of your apt work, others dont. Outages atleast once every month or two. And the speed was not very good.

I can say Comcas's customer service is a complete joke. Can't comment on Qwest, but I think it goes without saying ANY internet service provider is going to be bending you over.

EDIT: Another thing I like about Comcast is you can stream ESPN360 sporting events for free. I don't think Qwest can do that, so if you watch sports online like I do, that is a VERY nice feature to have at your disposal...
