Is the air quality in Denver starting to look like LA?

This topic has been discussed several times, and you can find plenty of info by doing a search on this forum. However, I will repeat what I've written previously: Having lived in L.A. County my entire life (and hoping to move to Denver area) the short answer is "no". The smog is nowhere near like L.A.'s. For statistics go to Home - American Lung Association site and type in zip codes for each area in a small box titled How's Your Air? or something to that effect. You can also click on lists of Best/Worst air in the nation on this site as well.

Maybe we're not LA yet, but there's no reason why we can't work on a better air quality. Cleaner burning gasoline regulations, stricter oversight of the oil and gas extraction industry would be great places to start.

I agree , tfox. I also think driving may need to be restricted. But I do not like "the sky is falling" stuff. Ozone has been a problem here for many years.

Interesting. Houston went from #1 to #5, Dallas moved up from #12 to #7. Glad to see Denver isn't on the list.

Denver has been pretty humid the past week or so, and thus making visibility distance shorter. lol

You know the brown cloud when you see it. Pilots used to say that they could follow that cloud along the foothills right into stapleton.
have not seen that brown cloud for a while now. or i have just not been paying much attention lol
