No.
Guy died in a fire in the house I bought. Not disclosed. When I found out from the neighbors, it didn't bother me, but I did sort of feel bad that was the reason the house came up on the market.

It would prevent me from buying that house. I don't want to buy a house that will be difficult to resell.
There are many more houses that aren't attached to something so negative.

Some states have disclosure laws regarding a death on the premises.

I agree, but even if you say you don't believe in ghosts/spirits and you move into such a house your sub concious can take over.

Obviously there are people who probably really don't care. This house is pretty nice in a great area, actually I think my friends house is one the nicer homes in that sub divsion. I don't know if the owners or the realtor will reveal what happened there 25 years ago, but they are going to sell it for the price that matches the area, no discounts because of past events.

No, living in a house where someone committed suicide wouldn't bother me, particularly if it meant a good price. What would bother me is how that event might affect my ability to sell the house in the future.

I do know that some of the younger siblings claimed they used to talk to him and he would help them with their homework. The mom got upset and sent them all to see a shrink for many years.

Being so young, I find it hard to believe they made it up.

My very first apartment had somebody die in it. While they were showing us around, the clean up crew was removing the bloody carpet. My best friend and I were just too excited about having our first apartment right out of high school so we didn't care. The only problem we had were friends of the previous Tennant that didn't know he was dead. They'd show up every now and then, banging on our door, screaming for him to let them in. We just told them that he didn't live there anymore.

I lived in a condominium where someone had hung themselves 25 years previously. No issues. Made a ton of money in the end actually.

I'd be upset if a ghost was helping my kids cheat on their homework too. That's what the internet is for, and I'd prefer if my kids learned to Google.

My house was the site of a death a few years ago. Happened in the master bedroom. Doesn't bother me a bit.
