Are there any bugs in urban Denver besides mosquitoes that might be causing me to have a skin reaction?

I've been getting small red bumps on the parts of my skin that are left exposed by clothing (arms, ankles). These do not appear to be mosquito bites (I'm from Jersey and have been eaten alive by them more times than I can count, so I know what the bites look like - these are too small.) They don't appear to be flea bites, because those are usually just on my ankles. They don't appear to be bed bugs because they are only on my exposed extremities, and not on my midsection, which is the area bedbugs favor, I'm told.

They're all over my arms and ankles - tiny red bumps that itch like crazy. But I've never seen anything biting me, and I'm told there's no chiggers out here. I'm wondering if it's a plant in my garden, but I haven't seen any poison ivy or anything like that.

Any ideas? It's been going on for about a week.

That's the plan, but I don't have a doctor here yet. I'm not going into anaphylactic shock or anything or swelling up, so it's not a bad allergy problem, and it's definitely not shingles. I'm just wondering if there's anything obvious I might be overlooking.

Could be bed bugs. Do you live in an apt complex? Get used furniture?
My sister lived in Denver and she has bites that sounded like yours.
The apt complex did not do much about it so when her lease was up she was out of there, without her couch or bed it was not worth it to take it and risk bringing them to her new place.

Even if you do not a doctor yet you can always go to a clinic if you do not have insurance.

I really don't think it's bedbugs. The resulting bumps are very tiny, like flea bites, but even smaller - more like chigger bites but they don't blister. I know it's not fleas, because my pets are fine. Moreover, bedbugs tend to go for the midsection when they bite people, and I don't really have any bites there. The bites are only on spots that are exposed when I'm outside - mainly my arms. My ankles haven't gotten any new ones because I've been wearing jeans all week, I think.

I've got insurance - just am under deadline this week and don't have time to actually find a doctor.
