Looking to move Denver from LA I am looking for a good area to meet friendly new people. I want to find a place that has plenty of activities.

Lodo or Capitol Hill / Uptown. They are all adjacent to each other and in the middle of the action so to speak. Lodo is the most expensive but coming from LA it will still probably seem cheap ; )

I would highly suggest West Wash Park. This is where the 30 year olds move after we've grown up from the post-college scene that goes on in those trendy apartments near LoDo (the Manhattan, Metro, Commons Park, etc). It is also much cheaper than Wash Park proper (the east side).

Here you can either find a single apartment if you're over the roomate thing, or a house with some equally mature people who still like having roomates.

Walking distance to the park is crucial. It is the epicenter of the Denver social scene during summer weekends. You can equally walk over to Broadway and catch a cab or bus downtown very easily.

You can try Cap Hill or Uptown like another poster said, but I live in Capitol Hill and although it is a good place, I think West Wash Park has more potential.

I would choose LODO, but I like the party scene.

I live in the Highlands... early 30's. Lots of single 30 somethings. I'm not much into the party scene... and I can't speak for the other areas because I've never lived anywhere else, but if you like to go out a lot definitely stick closer to downtown. Highlands neighborhood has more of a sports bar, chill atmosphere I would say. Good luck!
