I'm hoping for an intense heat wave this summer with over 15 hundred plus days in July... just to get back at you snow lovers

We had that (or something similar, last summer was the worst Denver summer I've ever experienced) last year, IMO we've already paid our dues.

No 100 degree days last summer. I think the summer of 2002 was the hottest in recent years.

I didn't hear about a forecast for snow, until I heard it secondhand from my BIL. "Flurries", up to an inch.

So naturally, it snowed all night, with about 2 inches (and counting) accumulated. The roads are horrible, as nobody saw this coming.

Stats:
YTD snowfall: 63.5 inches
Snow cover days: 63
Snow cover in the shade days: 100
Plume: Dec 1 and counting

Last summer didn't seem unusually hot to me. No days over 100. But my first summer in Denver (arrived in June 2005) was pretty hot with many days over 100. One day the official high was 105 I believe, but thermometers in the city were reading 109. I think we're due for another heat wave!

OK, where do you get this "100" in the shade from? The late Oct/early Nov. snows both completely melted away on the north side of my house. 100 days ago would be Oct. 31st. No way.... at least not if you're in Denver. It snowed about 6" the Wed. before Halloween, and it was 100% gone on Halloween. Then snowed roughly a week later at around 6", and again, totally melted. I've had snow "in the shade", meaning north side, since early Dec. And it came extremely close to being gone by last Thursday. Honestly, a couple little circles of ice that I wouldn't call snow "cover".
