Ummm, maybe because the purpose of these forums is to help people out by providing advice rather than chastising them if they are not sure where/how to obtain the information they are seeking?

Yep. $127/quarter up from $118 when we moved here a few years ago. As others have said, there are some neighborhoods that have sub associations in addition to that that might have their own pool just for residents of that neighborhood.

Realistically, for that price, you get way more than any HOA I've seen. The subdivision I was going to buy in Temecula, CA had $75/mo for one park and brush abatement(and that's on the cheap-end for HOAs in areas I looked at). No clubhouse, no pool, nothing. The value in the HOA from the services provided is lightyears better than anything I've seen

I agree. We have 4 rec centers each with an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a work out room, an indoor track, a gymnasium, exercise classes. Two have tennis courts. At least one has a sand volleyball court. There are always lifeguards on duty at the pools. For an extra fee there is child care available, preschools, tons of different classes for kids and adults. We have a lot here.

Southridge rec has a lazy river. A LAZY RIVER!!!

That is awesome. Our HOA provides a lot for us. Our parks are well taken care of. I love having dog parks. The skate parks for the kids are great. I wish I had those growing up. Instead I got yelled at for skating on school property.

To put it into perspective I own a condo rental that I am unable to sell right now. The HOA fees are $374 a month. Granted that covers all heating, cooling, water, trash and basic cable but it is still a big chunk of change for a degrading condo complex.

We live in the subassociation called The Hearth. In addition to the master Highlands Ranch dues, we pay about $100 per quarter for subassociation dues. This money goes mostly for trash service, common ground maintenance, etc. Very realistic in my opinion.

The master HOA dues are a steal if you ask me. The trails, the rec centers....amazing what they do with that money.
