Hi, my name is Christopher Marriott. I'm not sure- is it considered advertising if I ask on this forum for help in picking me up from the airport and potentially staying over for a while?

That is- I'm flying to Denver on Monday (Feb 6th) and jumped the gun a little bit in buying my ticket. I'm still trying to make it work. I need to be picked up at the airport and I will also need a place to stay for a little while. I posted "help wanted" in the classifieds but if this is allowed in the Denver forum then it would help!

Please let me know.

You'd be better off walking with a tent packed, than going this route.

Are you a member of Couchsurfers? That's the best and most inexpensive route. Barring that I'd recommend a decent extended stay hotel. They're all around Denver. RTD is your cheapest way from getting to the airport to your destination rtd-denver.com Airport fares run $10-14 dollars.

i would agree, that is a pretty weird post!

See the airport has these great things, Taxis, take you anywhere. There are also buses and the like. I'm not from Denver (until April) but its air ride or sky ride

THen you can check airbnb if hotels are too expensive

but I have no idea why someone would post on this site asking to stay at someones house

I could be a wanted criminal, true true. But I'm just looking for a place being with little money initially. Couch surfers looks good, and I'll check out hostels. What's airbnb?

Skyride is the name of the bus service from DIA. It's about $9-$12, and runs frequently.

If you get in a bind just go near the capital and pretty much ask anyone on the street and they will tell you the options for hostels. From watching the news I think many people prefer to camp out in the freezing cold than go to a homeless shelter...those will be full of the very worst of the worst. Hostels might be ok though, not sure.

I would reschedule you ticket and move when you have a backup cushion of money. You'll spend less changing your ticket than you would being homeless, eating fast food and staying on crummy motels for however long you're planning to.

Airbnb is a personally run home stay service, but you need a deposit, Paypal, money, and it relies heavily on user recommendations.

Do you currently have a bed in a house that exists someplace? I would sleep there for now and come here when you more money.
