Has anyone lived or know anyone who has lived at either of these locations? I'm moving from Ohio to Denver sometime in the next 3 weeks and will be working in the tech center on S. Ulster st.

I've narrowed it down to these two places but I'm open to something in the area that's less expensive if anyone has some good ideas.

I don't know the apartments, but the Presidio is in no man's land (very car dependent), while the District is in easy walking distance to loads of shops and restaurants.

You're looking at two of the most overpriced apartment complexes in all of Denver. The reason is both apartments are in walking distance to light rail stations. If that's not a priority for you, then you can find plenty of other less expensive apartments that are just as nice. If it is a priorty, but you still want less expensive, consider the Savoy at Hampden Town Center apartments (near Hampden & Dayton) which is in walking distance to the Dayton light rail station (only goes downtown, not to DTC).

Robert is 100% correct-- other than the light rail station, Presidio has nothing in its immediate vicinity. The Landmark shopping center is located about 1/2 mi away on Quebec St, and while there are sidewalks, but Belleview & Quebec are not pedestrian friendly at all. Literally right next to the District there is a movie theater, King Soopers, Chilis, and a few quick-casual joints.
