My office recently closed. I was there 8 months. Prior to that I had a job for 1 month and was fired with them saying it just wasnt working out. I applied for unemployment 9 weeks ago. I got a letter saying I was entitled to benefits from the most recent employer. The website lists the employer that fired me twice. I made under 2500 but more than 2000. It says pending review beside it on the website. I have sent a letter in the mail, sent an email, called many times but not gotten through, and went to the office but was turned away. What doe PENDING REVIEW mean? How can I get my money? Also, do I need to see if my bank has a deposit if the website shows no money has been paid out yet? Thanks for any help you might offer.

10 Paiger, I'm interested in knowing if you ever received your benefits. I know someone that's been waiting about 9 weeks now. First time he went to the unemployment office was told it takes approx 7 weeks to get a check. When the 7 weeks was up, went again and was told it was now approx 11 weeks. Hasn't received anything in the mail even saying it was being disputed. He was let go on March 2nd. This last time he went to the unemployment office, he was told he could go up the street, to "the United Way, they help people like you" ! And you can't even get through to the office by phone. I've never heard of anything like this?

Default The issue of Colorados unemployment

Hi there your not alone. I am on my 9th week and it says pending review. I have called their customer service 10 times a day for the past 5 weeks. Not once did I get through. I got so frustrated that I looked up Governor Hickenlooper and wrote a nasty letter to his email. Two days ago I got a phone call from a private number and guess who? It was Governor Hickenlooper calling me personally. He told me that they are having issues with the amount of people filing unemployment and that it normally takes 4-6 weeks to process a claim but now the minimum waiting period is 10 weeks. He said that he would have them call me on Tuesday. We will see if they call. I have my doubts but to have him call was pretty impressive. I was laid off because I failed a drug screen and I have never done drugs in my life. It turns out my neighbor below me was using and I got contaminated from exposure to meth through the vents in out house.
I am about to get kicked out and everything is in pawn shops and even my wedding ring is about to be lost on the 20th if I don't get my money by then. My car insurance has been cancelled and my bank account is closed. This state sucks when it comes to helping others in a timely manner. I can't even get food stamps because I am a full time student taking online classes. I was 210 a few months ago and have lost 40 pounds from starvation in a sense.
