I am a junior in college that will be in Denver for a summer internship. I will be interning at a firm near the Denver Tech Center/DTC and I was wondering where I should be looking to rent.

I would love a fun, young area with many bars and venues to enjoy. So far, I've read about Lodo and Capitol Hill, but I'm not sure of specific apartment complexes. The most I could probably spend on monthly rent is around $1100-$1200 but I would prefer around $900 to $1000. Anyone know of some nice clean places that will rent out to me for 10 weeks in the summer? Thanks.

Best bet would be to check the temporary/ sublets as well as the roomshares section of Craigslist daily. You're not going to find regular apartment complexes that will rent for 10 weeks only. Apartments usually have 6 month minimum leases. Also, "fun, young" areas with bars don't have apartment complexes. Apartment complexes are a suburban thing. Urban areas tend to have a lot of one-building apartments and condos. Things move fast (I think vacancy rates are around 2% lately in Denver), so you may not be able to find anything before a week or a few days in advance. But Craigslist, for all its problems, is the #1 way to find rental housing these days.
