Some friends of ours homeschool and they were looking for some field trips to take the kids on. They have invited us to go along this summer. I am looking for good suggestions of places that can be done as a day trip from the denver metro area. Do not worry about the ages of the children.

I have a list of about 40 places but I want to start with a blank slate. I will post my list in a couple of days.

Default #1, #2, #3, #4

Watch the South Park episode about Casa Bonita and then go there.

There is also a very interesting movie "Things to do in Denver when you're dead". Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is also a really great movie set in greater Denver and you could take the kids to sites. Sleeper (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Botanic Gardens. Architecture.

Then, we have a stupid movie set in greater Denver. Red Dawn - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
